I have some color photos I'd like to have in black and white, is there a way I can do this without downloading special software? Thanks!

1) Open Photoshop on your PC. If you don't have a version of Photoshop, you can download a free trial version of Photoshop Elements from the Adobe website.

2) Open the photo you wish to modify in Photoshop.

3) In Photoshop, go to the image menu, adjust sub-menu, and select desaturate.

4) In Photoshop Elements, go to the Enhance menu, Adjust Color sub-menu, and select Remove Color.

If neither of these options are available in your software, look for a toolbox to adjust "hue/saturation" and drag the slider for saturation all the way to the left.

If you have a PC and you have the photos on your computer, there's a simple way to do it. I use a Mac, so I'm doing this mostly from memory...hope it helps.

Open the program called Paint. It can be found in Accessories, in the Start Menu.

Open the photo.

Go to the menu bar of Paint and choose Image.
Choose Attributes.
Select Black and White (it might be called Grayscale).

Now the photo should be black and white.

You might have to save the photo and reopen it for the changes to take effect.

In any case, File, Save As, and save the photo.

Then repeat for each of the other photos.

By the way, another free program, Irfanview, can do the same thing and a lot more. It's simple to use. Get it at the site below if you want.

God bless.

To answer this question, we need to know what type of photo-editing software you already have on your computer.
