I would like to get me a new small dog (a chihuahua, yorkie, teacup pomeranian possilby). How can I get them to buy me new dog when they say we have enough animals? We only have 1 indoor dog, and outdoor dog, and three cats. The indoor dog is mine and I feed her, give her water, bathe her, and clean up messes. I am responsible and can take care of my pets.

This is just an idea. We like having different cats and dogs around due to differences in size, breed, personality, etc. So what we do is foster animals for our local rescue organization. It is a cool way to be around different animals than just your own pets and it is a big responsibility to care for them, screen applicants,do home visits prior to adoption, etc. Also, you would be doing a REALLY good thing, as overcrowded as shelters are.Your parents would see that you are indeed responsible and it makes you feel good the day the animal you have cared for gets their forever home. Many organizations do either breed specific rescue if you are wanting to be around a certain breed; or if you generally like small breeds, specify that you are interested in only fostering small breeds.Good Luck and if you do get a pet, please adopt,do not buy. You can look on the Internet for breed specific rescue groups that have purebreed dogs that need homes.

I would just keep doing what you are doing, keep being resposible, and start taking on a few more resposibilities.
Do your research on the dog you want and randomly tell your parent's "Guess what...yadda yadda." Because all dogs are diffrent and have diffrent needs. Show them you are serious about wanting another dog.
And then save your money, if you haven't already, for food, toys, vet bills, etc,. so they aren't probobly thinking "Gosh, another dog will be expensive.."
Just keep trying, it may take a while, but with persistance I'm sure you will be able to talk them into it.
Oh, and btw, maybe you should try a shelter, because plenty of those dogs need good loving homes, and that may be another reason for you parents to say yes, saying you want to help a dog there.

Don't expect your parents to buy you a pet. Get a job and buy it yourself. Show some responsibility.
