I have had some blood tests back for some swelling in my hands which happens occasionally for no reason. It also mentions a positive S defiency and a rasied fibrinogen at 453...

What does this all mean?

it is anti nuclear antibody - its a non specific test for immune disease. The result you mention is a mildly positive result. Frequently it doesnt show anything specific. There is a flow chart which shows which conditions are most likely according to the pattern.
