My friend had an orange cat named Ike. He managed to get caught in a car engine once, so he lost half of his tail. Another time he got in the neighbors moving van and moved across town, about 20 miles away, for a couple of weeks until we could find him. He was always getting in trouble but he was one of the sweetest most loving cats I have ever met. I don't think it's the color of the cat, it is all about their personality. I had a grey cat once that the Vet nicknamed "Cat from Hell".

I have a gray cat, black cat, and a black and gray cat. They all drive me crazy at different times. But the worse cat I know is my daughter's cat with is a long haired orange cat. At times is is the sweetest most lovable cat in the world, at other watch out cause he will attack you. I guess it is the nature of the beast.

It seems to me that you are describing cats in general. They treat us as if we are here for them. They take over and can be very independant. That is what is nice about cats, that is the way they are. They are also one of the few pets that you can be away from the house for a few days ( as long as there is food and water ) and they will survive, you will notice a bit of attitude when you come back and they let you know that they knew you were gone.

We have four cats...and orange girl, an orange and white girl, a tortie girl and a pure white male.

From time to time they all get what our Vet calls the "Cat Crazies", it's not limited to orange cats...in fact our little orange girl does this less than the other four...for us the white male is the worst.

i think it all depends on if you let your cat know when you first got him who was the boss . if you let your cat walk all over you and do what he wants then hes gonna do it whenever he feels like it.

Orange cats are indeed very dangerous. Do NOT attempt to huff it without your doctor's approval.
