i have an olympus fe 100 digital camera, which i bought here in ireland, but while on holidays in new york last year i bought a new fugifilm 512mb memory card, it worked fine until the last day of the holiday when all the pictures were showing just a grey screen. when i put the memory card in my pc it was the same, all were showing a grey screen. 2 days later some of the pictures came up on screen, and i can see all of them now but only as thumbnails, if i open the picture its still just a grey screen, please tell me how to sort this as i only have a couple of pictures of a great holiday.

Do NOT format your card until after you exhaust options for recovering the full images from it! Can you see the pictures on the camera?
There are several image recovery softwares available. Or the SanDisk Extreme III cards come with a program to recover images.

Good luck!

It sounds like a short in the memory card. Extreme heat or weather can cause it, or if you camera got wet, that could be a problem. Take it to a computer store, and they might be able to help you. Otherwise, try saving them as thumbnails on your hard drive, and using a photo program to enlarge them, and take away blur.

Put your card back in your camera, bring up the menu and find FORMAT. Somestimes that will help. You could have a defective card also. Don't buy the cheep cards, Go with Sandisk. I've used them for 7 yrs. The same 1GB and 2GB cards., but sometimes you can just format the card, and solve your problems.
