I1ve converted an avi movie to DVD. The disc plays on my comp. but not on my dvd player. If I convert it to MPEG and burn it with Nero would this make a difference,as I`ve heard that MPEG will play in virtually all dvd players. Thanx
PS Is this a fact

What converter program you using?
I would use WinAVI 7.7. Here is the link to download it.
http://www2.winavi.com/download/WinAVI_Video_Converter.exe
Serial: 6A83E3386BB911D89A2102F7

Also try buring it with NTI CD&DVD Maker
And download K-Lite Megas codec pack from www.free-codecs.com

This should work i burn loads of DVDs and never have a problem

what kind of dvd disc did you use? eg. dvd R + or DVD R -?
as the + or - plays on different dvd players, for example DVD R + play on panasonic dvd players but not on some others. pc's adapt well to any kind of dvd but players are more tempermental!! i bought dvd R's from tesco and on the packaging it tells you which dvd players work with which!!
