You do not give quite enough information here to really answer this correctly. So I can only generalize about the problem. If your 900 is not throwing a check engine light when it dies and after a few minutes restarts and runs fine until it dies again, replace your crank position sensor. As you do not give a year for your car this can be a quite cheap part or fairly expensive. If your car dies only when your fuel tank is at a 1/4 or below you are killing your fuel pump due to overheating. The pump will quit until it cools and then will pump again for a while. This a rare problem and usually only in warm areas of the country. If I had more vehicle info I could answer you better, sorry. Good Luck

Year would help. Both my 900's did this and it was the fuel filter both times.

Don't turn the key and stop putting your foot on the brake pedal.
