Theres no such breed as a british bulldog, thats why you havent' been able to find any info. The bulldog used to be a symbol for britain and its just a nickname.
Check out the kennel club website or another one that describes the different breeds.

There are 3 types of bulldog.
The British and English are the same type technically just called a Bulldog.
The French Bulldog is a dwarf version with bat ears and a very affectionate nature.
The American Bulldog is larger and more like the original working bulldogs were.

As far as I'm aware there isn't a British or English variety, they are registered only as Bulldogs. I think that when you get British or English in front of the name, it refers to things such as (for instance) British Bulldog club or English Bulldog Club, it is not usually used in the breed itself.
If I am wrong then I apologise.

Either name is basically the same breed but can I advise you to reconsider your choice of breed as I know a girl who bought a pure breed bulldog and the ugly dribbling thing died of respiritory complications six months later. they all suffer from this condition at some stage and it will only end in heart ache for you not to mention the money a breeder is worth... up to sixteen hundred dollars.
