I can understand your fear for your daughter, but the truth is, a fever is one of the body's best defense systems against illness. Since most bacteria and viruses thrive at about 98.6 degrees (the body's average temp), raising the temperature a few degrees can help someone fight off a sickness. That being said, your daughter has had a fever for five days, which is certainly something to be concerned about, but you've been to a doctor, and he said to let the fever run its course. No one on this website is going to have better advice than your doctor, because truth be told, we're just everyday people. So take the doctors advice, and be sure that you give your daughter plenty of water, since the greatest danger from fevers is dehydration. Also, because of the high concentration of solute in juices, teas, sodas, and other drinks, they really cannot replace water. A fever won't harm your daughter unless it rises to 107.6 degrees for an extended period of time, so stay calm, and call your doctor if the fever goes above 104.
Good luck, and I hope your daughter makes a speedy recovery.

That's not good!
You should take her to the emergency room and demand them to find what's wrong! And don’t take “No” for an answer
She is your child; if you love your child you should do everything in your power to help her.
you should stop what your doing and get her to the hospital NOW!
