According to his "religion", he's not permitted to marry you, you are an "infidel" to him. I'm not saying that to be mean, but that is what his religion tells him.
If he "loved" you, especially after 10 years, then he would be commited to you. If he is not, then why pursue this relationship any longer?
I think you've hit a dead end. Perhaps it would be best if you moved on, and found a man who is serious about you.

if the two of you really love each other and want to be married, someone has to give in. that means either you be converted to Muslim or him to Christian. One needs to give in.

He needs to be a man and stand up for himself.
If he doesn't want to marry you b ecause of his religion and doesn't want you to marry someone else then he needs to make a decision because you can't wait all YOUR life for him to make his decision.
