this is not a one day method, but when you wash your hair after you have applied shampoo on your hair, you have to massage your scalp, move your scalp with your fingers because the rest of your hair is just dead, in my country people you oil a lot for hair growth but I've noticed that at the beginning hair seems to fall off, after about the 3rd massage you can see a difference, i guess the weak hair is the once that fall off. if you don't have really dry hair you can use some oil, but if your hair is dry don't do this cos oil sometimes can fry up the hair. this is what i do, but some people have told me that since shampoo can be harm full for the hair it's best to avoid it.
i found this in a web site on how to massage your scalp.
1. Circular motions at the base of the neck.
2. Gentle tapping from the base of the neck up to the hairline and back.
3. Quick, circular motions from the base of the neck up to the hairline and back.
4. Light chopping motions from left shoulder to right.
5. Light chopping motions up the middle of the head to front hairline and down each side to above ears.
6. Raking fingers through hair starting at the nape and working to hairline and back.
7. Smooth, rapid circles up head and back to nape.
i hope these stuff comes in some use to you.

My hair is naturally curly and go past my waist while in its curly state so imagine how much longer it is if I'd straigten it....
I get length trimmed (just split ends off the bottom every six weeks, which the stylist usually cuts off an incho or two) and from there its just normal care...shampoo, condition...etc
but I never blow dry my hair, in my opinion it just dries out my curly hair so much that it gets too poofy and heat isn't good for hair to begin with...
When you're pregnant, that also for some reason, makes hair just grow like crazy!

I just read in a magazine last night that diet and health have more influence on making hair grow faster. Try taking a one-a-day type vitamin and one b-complex vitamin labeled for stress. Eat healthy and you'll be amazed at the difference it makes. I take one of each of those vitamins a day and every time I go to get my haircut my hairdresser comments on how quickly my hair grows.

if you know somebody you can trust with your hair then get them to trim it. the trim should promote quicker growth and an all around healthier texture.
