Answer sincere and honest questions as best I could, and ignore the rants and outrageous posts. (but that would not be as much fun)

Well a good place to start is not telling people that don't practice Christianity that they are lost, deluded and have to be saved. It may make you feel good to say it, but trust me it doesn't help the other person at all nor does it make them inclined to visit the nearest church.
And then when posters go through the trouble of trying to explain exactly what it is that they believe, it would be good if Christians actually read it instead of posting things like, "you may not know it but you're worshiping the devil" or "your religion is false and God has condemned everything that you hold dear in the Bible" and proceed to list chapter after chapter of Bible verses. They don't see the Bible as an infallible history, so quoting scriptures is usually little more than an annoyance.
I would say the best way to improve relationships here is to refrain from saying to others what you wouldn't want them to say to you. After all how many of us love being called ignorant and insane by Atheists?

The hardest for me is when people go out of their way to be rude. Whether in asking or answering.
I would suggest praying before each answer- not just a quick, under the breath prayer- but a sincere prayer.
If I can't respond/ask a question that is free from slander or harassment it isn't a question I need to respond to.
The beauty of a forum is we can pick and choose where our voice is heard and sometimes there are places where it won't be heard no matter what we say.
Be prayerful and conscientious of the fact that no matter how horrible the other person may act they are still created from God it is our responsibility to represent Christ to them.
We don't have to be 'tolerant' or agree, but we can present our views without completely bashing them, isn't that what we ask for in regards to our beliefs?

I think it is valid to try to improve relations with PEOPLE of other religions through respect and acceptance, but not not to try and improve relationships with other religions. The only way that could be done is through compromise and that will destroy truth and eliminate the possibility of having eternal life through Jesus Christ. After all, eternal life is what it is all about.

Respecting others opinions is a good foundation. Prayer is a good key. Spiritual knowledge is a good comfort. Knowledge of others beliefs is essential. And LOVE will get you through......

Everyone deserves to be understood. I choose questions carefully and do try hard not to open mouth-insert foot.

Stop the bashing and start accepting that God created humans with different backgrounds and religions.
