Latino Lifestyle: if evil does not exist, why do christians accuse people of being evil? Or of committing evil acts? People and actions are real. The word itself, evil, is real enough to most people, however I haven't heard evil being described as emptiness before.
Also, darkness and light are within our spectrum of perspective. So is good and evil - but that is always open to interpretation.

He also created a load of people who rationalise just about everything that might logically cause doubts in any reasonable mind.
Why some people think that quoting scripture that has little or nothing to do with questions on here will suddenly "enlighten" us all, I don't know.
I wonder if there is any up yet?
Latino Lifestyl was doing really well until the rationalisation at the end.

You are obviously interested in Christianity. Like any complex subject I found I got nowhere until I undertook a study course and read theological works. Then it all started to fall into place. I don't necessarily mean became converted, but got to understand the subject better. There is a lot of misinformation out there and the popular best sellers involving the subject are as much use as a tabloid newspaper to an economics student. Remember the old writings were bronze age products of cultures given to symbolism and exaggeration. It is not easy to understand them clearly.

God id perfect. you are right on that point. Man is created perfect, since we are supposed to be copies of Him. He created us to share with us the joy of the world that He has created. However, Man is vulnerable to temptations brought about by satan, the wicked devil. As a result, it is of utmost importance for us to seek Him in our lives and not give in to evil temptations or selfish behaviours.

I don't think he's perfect, either. At the end of my life, I hope that the world's three largest religions are all wrong. Look at all the problems around the world. Try to avoid these people as much as you can, except here.

This has a thought provoking message no matter how you believe. Does evil exist?
The university professor challenged his students with this question. Did God create everything that exists?
A student bravely replied "yes, he did!"
"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes, sir," the student replied.
The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil."
The student became quiet before such an answer.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?" "Of course", replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.
The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody and every object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have too little heat.
The student continued. "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does".
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor. "Sir, does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. "These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor quietly sat down.

Maybe Father God just loves us so much that like a wonderful father He puts up with insolent, disobedient children rather that blister our back-sides and send us to bed.

The failed sinful crearures when born were very innocent indeed. It is as they are growing up they become sinful and wayward. No good blaming God for that.

The things you mention are symbolic, they are not literal.
What God creates, He creates good. Everything in His creation is good. It is when we choose to ignore God that we encounter evil, for evil is nothing but the absense of good/God.
People do wrong things because God gives everyone free will.
If I do something wrong, I blame myself, not God. If anyone does something wrong, they have no one to blame but themselves, not God. God didn't do it, they did.
EDIT: Latino is right, evil is nonexistent. Evil is the absence of good. Poverty is the absence of wealth. Ignorance is the absence of knowledge. Cruelty is the absence of love and compassion. Darkness is the absence of light. Coldness is the absence of warmth. Death is the absence of life. Therefore, evil in and of itself is nonexistent, it is the state of thing/s when there is an absence of good.
