cranial cavity is bounded anteriorly and laterally by frontal bone, posteriorly by posterior border of lesser wing of sphenoid, anterior clinoid process and sulcus chiasmaticus dorsally by the orbital plate of frontal bone, ethmiod cribriform plate , anterior border of sphenoid’s lesser wings and anterior part of the body. thoracic cavity is bounded by ribs laterally, sternum ventrally, vertebra dorsally and thoracic inlet anteriorly and thoracic outlet posteriorly. The abdominopelvic cavity is the largest cavity of the body and is bounded cranially by the diaphragm and caudally by the levator ani and coccygeus muscles.
