As a country, America sacrificed a great many lives of soldiers for this conflict in Iraq. But personally, I don't feel that I've sacrificed anything, compared to what the citizens gladly did to help during WWII. The sale of War Bonds, rationing, USO volunteering, and so on, anything to help the war effort, was done without hesitation.

Other than the soldiers themselves and their families, I don't see anything being sacrificed to aid in this conflict. I wish there was something that we could do to truly show our support and thanks to them.

Seems like *business as usual* here at home, and that is so sad.

Dreadful. 3,000+ troops dead and anything between 100,000 and 400,000 innocent civilians slaughtered in just 3 years. Saddam killed around 40,000 during 25 years - what does that make us?

We are now staring into the Iran abyss. Bush is making noises like he's going to do something with Iran. It's not just oil - Haliburton, the company owned by former and current politicians (can you believe this?) supplies everything to the army on the ground, including a MILLION meals a day to the 300,000 troops. The profits are astronomical.

Let's bomb Iran - we'll make so much more lovely money for all our friends! (...and get another few thousand troops and hundreds of thousands of civilians slaughtered).

I cannot tell you how I feel. Probably much like you do.

There's a lot of war criminals in this world who need to be brought to trial, but who are the people that will do it, Its getting more disgusting than ever what a few people can do, namely
sanctioning the terrible death of so many. The rest of us feel so useless to do anything about it, our leaders don't listen to us, what is to be done God only knows.

Thankfully I haven't had to make any sacrifices for any war but I can use my imagination to answer your question. Why don't you use yours?

Aren't we all losers in the face of human destruction?

everyone sacrifices daily in this world.
are you aware 30,000 children die daily just from lack of food and clean water ?
our military is doing it's job they get paid for.
our country is trying to change things in the middle east, better they try than do nothing at all.
if someone want to rip down your home will you let them or will you go after them ?
