Thought it might be eczema - tried some over the counter medication but didn't help. Also sometimes the the area - size of a dime if that - gets really dry. Not sure what to do - next step is doctors possibly. Anyone know what this might be and what to do? Thanks for the help.

It could be sebborhea dermatitis. Your best bet is to go to a dermatologist. He can prescribe the right medication to get rid of it quickly. Some skin conditions can cause bald spots, so this is your best course of action.

definately go see a dermitoligist. they may need to a biopsy to clear it of cancer. a scab that takes longer than a couple weeks to heal needs to be checked out. Its probly a case of a skin condition but please go see a dermatoligist. If it is cancerous... they can remove itbefor it spreads to other tissues of the body. like go tomorrow. Good luck!

This is definitely something for your doctor to check; I'd suggest locating a dermatologist.
