In the vedic scriptures there is mention of a drink called Soma. It is obtained by pressing the stalk of a plant with stones and then collecting the juice. The drink is supposed to bring about a visionary state of mind. Has anybody got any idea what this plant might be?

I'd stick with earl grey with a splash of milk myself!

don't know what that particular stuff is, but there are a lot of preparations produced in that manner, mid-east folks seem to live on what they call KOT or kaht, it is just chewed and makes them m e l l o w...
