Okay, I confess, I am a lover! When I go abroad take small pot with me, and also get most annoyed when there is none at cafes where I have breakfast of toast and mushrooms or something.
We had a visitor from Latvia who tried it and took a liking to it so now when we go to Latvia there is a big pot of it in each of our luggage.
I took some to America and Germany and each time the British people there told me I was a disgrace to Britain. All because I like, no love, marmite!!!
It is good smeared on to pork chops etc., and also good to put into your roasting juices while making gravy.

That's an interesting question, because as you say everyone either loves it or loathes it!
I actually have a picture of it on my 360 page!
The way i like to eat it is on wholemeal toast, the trick is, to spread the butter on first, then marmite on top. This way, you get more of a marmite 'hit' as it doesnt sink into the bread.
Twiglets are great too, if you are a marmite lover!
In answer to your question, sorry i do not sit on the fence!
Its low cal too .............. !!

I like Marmite, but wouldn't say I love it. I have fads where I eat it often and then go through phases where don't even think about it. When I eat it I don't like to put too much on my toast, but I do enjoy its taste.
Think you have set me off now could just do with some. Guess gonna have to go out now and get some.
:-)))

There was a 19 year old on TV news yesterday and he has lived on marmite all his life...literally. He eats it on toast at breakfast, on bread for dinner and again for tea. He has baffled the doctors/scientists/dieticians for years. He does not eat anything else.

I can eat a finger of it from the jar but can't eat it on toast.

I used to like it now and then, but I moved to Australia and they have Vegiemite. It tastes like diesel, and makes me yearn for good old Marmite.

I'm in-between. Ill eat it and enjoy it every now and then but don't ever crave it and definitely wouldn't say I can't live without it. It's no peanut butter but I don't hate it.
