but they dont know i do and have suggested we do that and stuffed if i want to. any ideas?

If you really don't want to do it, just don't.. you don't need a reason. For one thing, it's not like yahoo, msn, or any of the other popular messengers cost anything, so whoever it is that you are avoiding is quite aware that if you wanted to connect with them you could.

It sounds like you really don't want to pursue this relationship at all... 'stuffed if I want to' gives that impression.. so at this point being polite is rather irrelevant, isn't it?

Two things should come into consideration: 1) how long you two have communicated through e-mail and 2) how comfortable you are with this person.

I recognize, for women, these decisions are difficult. I think you, first, should answer both the aforementioned questions. If you feel you two are connecting but you feel it's too early (or if you're unsure), you should be polite yet firm in explaining how you enjoy conversing with him, but feel, at present time, it's too early to progress your interactions. However, conversely, if you feel this person is pushing for a progression in communication, then you should ignore him and block him from e-mailing you, if need be. There's no sense in reasoning with a person who continually unnerves you. It's illogical and a lose-lose situation.

Just tell them your C drive is already full and won't handle downloading any more programs till you upgrade.
