DO NOT GO THE CHEAP WAY OUT WITH YOUR CHILDS SAFETY...
do not use the old one......take a sledge hammer and destroy it........NEVER buy one at a yard sale........always always always, by the best, newest one you can get........
years ago i found a nice one at a yard sale for $10, i called graco and asked if they had a seat pad replacement i could buy bc that one was worn from being washed......that lady told me NEVER do this.......you dont know: how old the car seat is, if it had been through hot summers and cold winters (environmental elements can change the strength of plastic), you dont know if this seat was involved in an accident, etc.......
i had never thought of these things......SO, i destroyed it, and i couldnt afford the top of the line then so what i did was i went to my mother, my father, they were divorced, my in laws and my brother........including myself and my husband that was 5 ways to split the price. i explained to them that with their help, i could get the best one.......the seat was $125, so that was $25 each......they all gladly pitched in bc it was something i HAD to have, i needed and something i wanted.......and of course they all wanted to keep the baby safe........
after advancing to a new seat, each old one was destroyed......
several years ago, my second daughter was one and my mother in law and sister in law were babysitting......they ran some errands and when i was leaving for lunch that day, i answered the phone just as i was grabbing my purse......it was a police officer telling me that they had been involved in a wreck but the baby was fine.......they were a couple of miles from where i worked so a coworker who was there with me, drove me over bc i could barely walk......
i took the baby to the ER with everyone else just to have her checked out......we took the ambulance that was there........she had brusies where the shoulder straps were but thats it.....
since it was the other girls fault, i told the ins comp all i wanted was $150 to replace her carseat bc i would no longer use it, and for them to pay the ER bills and the ambulance bill......
they did and they threw in $100 extra for her pain and suffering......very generius huh.....
please dont get anything but the best.......this is your childs life you are putting in this seat, day after day......and IF anything ever happened and that child was safe, you'll be glad you did...

I have a Graco that is good 30-80 lbs. Its a front facing carseat that has 5 point harness up to 40 lbs then the straps come out and it is a standard booster seat. Cost about $60 US at Walmart. For my youngest she is using big brothers seat that is 3 yrs old. It is an Evenflo and good rear facing 5-30lbs and forward facing 20-40 lbs.

maximum possibly you're touching on the Kyle David Miller video clips, there is a number of on youtube. And its his mom, no longer his aunt, who started out them or perhaps based a charitable business enterprise that provided larger weight harness seats that save larger/older teenagers in harnesses longer than the everyday 40lbs walmart seats. The seat they in particular spoke of is the Britax Regent. yet provided that that component, there is been a number of different seats that got here out including Graco Nautilus, Britax Frontier, Safety1st Apex65, Sunshine teenagers Radian65, Evenflo Triumph strengthen, Compass/First Years TruFit. there is now a lot of seats to make a call from to maintain teenagers harnessed to a minimum of 5-6 yeasr previous as experts propose.
