Yesterday I had a glass of Jackson-Triggs Gewurztraminer and it was very good. The fresh floral flavours I've come to know and love, but a tad rough around the edges. I'd like to have seen the bottle aged a little more to get rid of the harsh acidity (although that's not to suggest that it was too acidic!). Also, after I'd come home from work (I'm lucky enough to work in two wine stores!), I broke into my bottle of 2005 Inniskillin Icewine. As a Canadian I have to admit that it makes me more than a little proud to recommend that particular wine as some of the best in the world. Yum!

It's actually coffee, seeing how it's 5:30 in the morning here. But last night I was drinking Robert Biale 'Aldo's' vinyard 2002 Napa Valley Zinzandel. It's dark, rich with a nice spicyness. Big and Jammy. Awesome Zinfandel.
