One of my friends [i swear it's not me] is having alot of trouble with her parents. She's 17 and will be turning 18 this September. She's still in school and everything. This isn't a case of teenage rebellion. Me [and several other people] are just really worried about her.
I just wanted to know how old she would have to be to move out of her parents house [and most likely into mine] without her parents being able to tell her no and legally keep her there. Would my parents get custody of her?
If you can give me any sort of answer, or a place to find an answer... please...
thanks.
[Sorry, I didn't really know what category to put it under!]

18. Then her parents can't tell her to come home or report her as a runaway. But, if her parents don't want her, they can sugn a paper stating that she is on her own. Then she would HAVE to move out.

it is a case of "rebellion" is there is no abuse. if there is abuse-contact child protective services. more than likely-even in that case-she still can not be your roommate.
