My brother was sent to prison for something he did to a family member and my cousin keeps harassing me by confronting me or my husband when we are around other people. He gets extremely nasty. We have told him about it several times but it is non-stop - he is a grown man with a family of his own. My husband and I did not have anything to do with my brother before or after what he did. Please help!!! it just keeps getting worse - Oh and he's usually very very drunk when it happens. His family just blows it off.

If he is doing this in a public place, call the police --they can deal with him as a drunk and a public nuisance.
Don't go to family gatherings where this man may be present.
Tell his family that they are not doing him any favors to ignore this behavior. One day they may be on the receiving end of these nasty encounters --or it may escalate into physical violence. If that happens, it will be hard to brush off the incident as "OH! That's just the way he is!"

you might be able to apply for an AVO (apprehended violence order), that what they called in Australia, this will prevent him from approaching you and set limits on his behaviour, conduct and contact with you good luck

looks to me you will have to take it to the courts . the only way. to get an order against him
