Psycho seemed more "plausible" than Children of the Corn, so I'd have to go with Psycho. Neither of them really scared me much, though.

Psycho was based on a true story. So it was consistant. It made "sense" as much as a perverted tail could, because it was true, as it happened.
Corn got stupid at the end. It was "scarier" I guess...but it got so nonsensical, I'm putting my vote on psycho.

psycho without a doubt. it was ahead of its time. a groundbreaker. cannot judge it by all the things that came along since then. it was a real shocker when ifirst saw it in a drive in theater. tony perkins was wonderful. hitchcock never did better.

if i had to choose, children of the corn, very freaky, but i think jack nicholson in 'the shining' was one of the scariest things ive seen
