My advice: try to find a pen-pal in an English speaking country, go to http://www.interpals.net and you'll find lots of other people from all over the world there - and if these people wants, they also will chat with you online...But, you have to respect it when some people doesn't want to chat.

Greetings from Germany

I'm Swedish,16 and I chat with international people, including English ones. My English aren't the best, but they understand me anyway. If an English person use my language wrong, I don't care so much either. As long as I can communicate, it's no problem. You're not that hard to understand right? No certainly I don't think so. Go for the people, not the country. They should talk to you for the one you are. Since you have put down so much energy to attend your "problems", I think they should put down some energy to take you for the one you are. If it's about businesses you need to go deeper, but if not that seriously why ? People from other countries are different and interesting to talk with - for me it's charming.

Don't feel bad. I don't think it's just English people. I have lived in Puerto Rico for over a year now, but I don't speak any spanish. People here on the island don't talk to me either.

Your best bet is to find something you are interested in online, and talk or a forum to that community... for example... If you like cars, then find a car website and talk to people there. There are alot of public chat rooms online too

I don't chat. I haven't learn to trust chatlines yet. English people can be snobs when it comes to language. I think it is hard to learn another language when you are older. My hat is off to you1
