From the time I was young, I use to ask God when no one else can give, I use to write down in my diary also, addressing God and tell all that I need. To my amazement, all I have remembered writing down has been answered by God. One is when I asked for a husband, when I see movies and how couples get separated after marriage, its so bad and I know its not to be that way, so I asked for a loving, kind husband and I got one, same way for a baby and I got. for Holy Spirit I got, to take away my sickness, I am well.. so many ..
So try asking and then .. after many years you will realize that it was only God who answered, if you are smarter then you'll realize it soon.
Thats what Jesus said. Ask God, seek the truth .. better to seek the kingdom of heaven and His righteousness :)

It simply meand that if you "first seek the kingdom of God...and His righteouness...," then the quote in Mathew 7:7-8 will be just as literal as it is spelt. Ask God for wisdom as you spend time with the Word.

If you believe in your heart when you ask GOD for anything you will receive it. If you seek GOD within your heart you will find him. I'm not positive but I believe the same thing holds for; if you believe when you knock the doors will be open to you as long as it meets GOD'S approval or consistent with a godly life.

Praise be to God. With this word, it shows how wonderful the Lord is.....that He even give us asurance that if we only ask He gives, if we find He shows and if we knock doors of heaven will be open...

It is like this....it is your birthday and your father knows what you want but he will not give it until you say it and ask....so is the father in Heaven.

I don't see it as a "Santa Claus" type of situation where you sit on Gods lap and ask for things. I think it has to do with a searching, yearning heart. When we are looking for answers, God promises we will find them. Of course that is all in His timing and it may take a life time. But we should always keep searching with the confidence that He will keep His promise and lead us to the truth.

It always reminds me of the song, " I Still haven't found what I'm looking for" I feel that way too. But I know God keeps His promises and someday I will............When I see Him face to face.

It means that salvation through Jesus Christ, from Father God, with the help of the Holy Spirit is available to anyone who wants it. To anyone who looks for it and too anyone who asks. Father God loves everybody and anybody.

Ask for the Holy Spirit and you will receive it.

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (verse 13).

Jesus was referring to spiritual enlightenment. Similar to "There is none so blind as he who will not see, none so deaf as he who will not hear." If you want to know God ask him for wisdom, ask him to help you understand his word -- ask and ye shall receive.
