He is answering you, you probably are not hearing him.
he who fights by the sword, dies by the sword.

if you take drugs eventually one day they will kill you
if you drink too much one day you will die from it
if you drive like a maniac one day you will die from a car crash.

get yourself into rehab.
you have to help yourself.

You don't have to stop drugs before you become a Christian, God doesn't wait until you're clean or til you stop doing bad things or there would be no Christians.

If you have prayed and told Him that you are sorry for doing wrong things, that you believe that Jesus died for your sins and that you want Him to save you and be your God then you are a Christian. If others tell you that your not really a Christian if you keep doing drugs they are wrong and they don't understand the grace of God. God says no sin is worse than any other and if we confess our sin he will forgive us, you can never lose your salvation.

God does say stop sinning so he wants you to stop the drugs and he provides help through such things as rehab programs. Get away from people who encourage this lifestyle before you do yourself permanent damage.

Read the Bible, start with the New Testament at first you will think it makes no difference but it does. Ask God to help you with each step you need to take to kick the drugs, remember it will be hard but you can do it.

A lot of people have been led to believe that you have to be perfect before you turn to Christ. If this were the case, then He wouldn't need to die for our sins.

Come to Christ as you are. Make sure you get into a church that focuses on the Word of God. Most importantly, pray to God that He leads you in the right direction, to people who He wants you to line up with.

A very close member of my family just wrote telling us how he gave his life to the Lord and got off drugs. We knew he had a whole lot of issues, but we didnt even know he was on drugs. This was an extremely well kept secret - he was on drugs for YEARS before he hit rock bottom and got help. So that's MY testimony of a true miracle that happened in my life.

Keep the faith that you have in God, keep praying that He will guide you, and just lean on Him. Everything else will fall into place. I'll be praying for/with you! God bless!!

My brother,
Its not good to make a mockery of GOD, meaning if this isnt something that is a sincere testimony, then its not good to use the Lords name in vain. But know this, that the GOD tries the heart, and you have the willpower to quit, but he will and can make a way for you, only if you are serious. Its not easy. Some people think they need AA or other groups to remain sober, but what you need is the truth, and hold tight to that, Which is GOD. Pray my friend, and keep praying, but it is suggested that you be sincere about it, for GOD knows the difference.

This is why you need to find strong Christians who can pray with you and help you. If you live anywhere near LA, I would suggest the LA Christian Center in downtown. They will help you and offer counseling and give you a place to get things together while you are fighting the problem. But mostly, they are strong believers and they are real. In and around NY City, the Brooklyn Tabernacle is a wonderful organization. Basically what I am recommending are strong, praying, Christians who love Jesus and are dedicated to being Him to those in need. Let me know if I can be of any further help. Christians are out in the drug world and they are willing to be found.

You need to try to get away from the environment that you are in. If the devil knows that you are trying to trust God with something, he will try to make you fail every time.

I was addicted to drugs too. That was over 20 years ago.

Let me tell you how I got out. First, I had put my trust in God, not understanding all the implications of it at the time, but trusting him.

Secondly, I was taken out of the environment that I was in and went into counsuling for a few weeks. After the first session of that, I agreed to go to AA meetings and after I did that a few times I found that there were many groups along those lines that called themselves MSA ( Marijuana Smokers Anonymus) , NA ( Narcotics Anonymus), OA, ( Overcomers Anonymus-- A Christian version of all those I named prior).

So do whatever you have to:
1) To get away from all those that you use with. This may include relocating to a relatives house, if they will put up with you still.
2) Do not under any circumstances find yourself hanging around those who you use drugs with. You MUST understand, they are not really your friends.
3) You are a Christian because you trust in God through Jesus Christ, not because you don't use drugs. I put this at number three, but it should be number 1. Do not lose sight of this. God does not abandon people who want to know him. If you trust God through Jesus Christ, you are a Christian and do not let ANY circumstance make you think that you are not.

If you have any other questions you can e-mail me.

I prayed for you. I really hope that you remain a Christian through this valley that you are in. ( ;

i've been dealing with addiction for the last couple years. Addiction is not something that is just "lifted" from you. Asking the Lord for help is good, but understand that YOU need to start working towards getting off drugs. Start down the path, get some counsling, go to NA and AA meetings, get a sponsor, and God will also help you along the way.

Everyone here has it right. You can ask God to HELP you through this, but YOU need to actually make the effort and have the desire to stop.

Please look in the local phone book and call Narcotics Anonymous, or any of the local hotlines for people in your situation. Most hospitals also have an inpatient treatment program. You cannot do this alone. You must remove the sin from your life if you want to live your life for God.

I read some of the answers that you recieved. They sound good but reality shows us the truth of human nature and it just aint as easy as they make it sound. First, do you consider yourself a christian, why or why not? It sounds as though you are striving to do what is called of a believer, failing or not. But God will look beyond our faults...into our heart. Drug addiction is a battle. But to let go of it in a flash is plain stupid to believe. What drug you are using and for how long will play a major part in recovery. Drug addiction is wrong and definately not ok with God. But don't think it will just disapear. Remember, Christ first conquered so that we too may conquer. I would suggest you find a local church or recovery center that is biblical-based and deal with the reality of drug-addiction and continue to believe God for your deliverence. Greater is He that is in you than any addiction or situation you will face.

So you've placed the addiction in the chemical and the help in an external being.

You will be an addict until you remember that YOU have the addiction, and YOU must make the choice to not be an addict any longer.

Next time you go to take that drug, I want you to pause and simply say (out loud!) "I am making the conscious choice to take this drug." If you want to take it, go for it. If you don't, then put it away -- you can always take it later.

This takes the psychological power from the drug and puts it back into YOUR hands, YOUR choice, YOUR control.

Don't let anything control you but YOU.

Hey, i was in the same boat man, i smoked alot of weed , i did extasy, coke, lsd, and sold pretty much everything i did to supprot the habbits.

If you truly want to be close to the lord you have to realize, sacrafice must be made. If your friends cause you to sin.. what do you do? The bible says if your eyes cause to to sin gouge them out, now of course that figuratively speaking but the point is clear, you cannot yoke yourself with sinners, the first step is to step away from the temptation and ones who tempt you.

That can be hard but its a key step. I will admit, withdrawl and cravings can be a prick but you need to emerse yourself in the word of God. When you feel weak, hold on to Jesus and read what the lord has to tell you.

I wound up isolating myself for a while to get a grip, changed my lifestyle, music preferances and everything, i stayed nose down in a bible for several weeks straight wound up reading it front to back 3 or 4 times in that time. It takes work and faith but as it says in 1peter 2:24 "by his wounds you have been healed"

Your on the rite track just stick to your guns, i have been clean toatally, and its amazing what the lord has shown me and allowed me to do since then.

My prayers are with you, be strong!
