I used minced pork and beef and minced chicken livers, all fried with onions and garlic and some pancetta

Then add italian seasoning, 2 tins of tomatoes, tomato puree, large glug of red wine, 1/2 pint of stock. Bring it all up to simmer then put in the oven on a very low heat for 3 hours.

This is the absolute best bolognaise.

I can do it with easier to use ingredients but doesn't taste as good as the one above.

This spag bol has reasonably authentic ingredients!
I love Italian cooking and people say i am a good cook, so give this s try its delicious! Its my own recipe cultivated over a period of time!

One onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small can tomato puree or 2 tablespoons
large can 200g of chopped tomatoes
half teaspoon dried basil
half teaspoon dried oregano
small pack mince (beef or lamb)
black pepper to taste
salt to taste

Sweat the onion and garlic on a low heat in 2 tablespoons water until translucent.
Meanwhile fry the mince, drain away any fat.
Add the drained mince to the onion mixture.
Add the tin chopped tomato, tomato puree, olive oil, oregano, basil, black pepper, salt.
Mix thoroughly.
Simmer on low heat for at least 20 minutes.
This recipe is plenty for 2 people.

Add the mixture to your favorite cooked spaghetti!
This always tastes better when made the day before...the flavors have time to enrich.
Have with a glass of red wine its heaven, enjoy!!

I like to saute minced garlic in a little olive oil until to starts to turn dark brown then build the sause on top of it. It adds a bit of a nutty tast to the sause (though I have found that browning it too much can be overpowering). I also like to use fresh minced roma tomatoes instead of tomato sauce.

Other then this, I simply use oragino, basil, salt, and a little sugar.

Often it is not what you add that makes a great taste, but what you leave out.

I personally add Sweet Hungarian Paprika and a can of tomato soup, and for that richer taste, a jar of tomato paste.. Served with Angel Hair Pasta....it's a real hit with the kids and is a real belly filler.
