I do situps, bellydancing workouts, whatever-- and I can only work out my upper abs. Even tried doing "reverse situps" but I don't see my lower tummy getting any flatter. How do I get rid of my "gut"?

okay heres how it is- you technically can and cant work out your lower abs. what i mean is your muscle strands run vertical not horizontal. sooooooo that means you are working it all out. but all this science talk wont help so heres something that should-

1.eat healthy- eat fruits, vegetables, chicken, and drink water, whole grain products alot of milk, and orange juice, STAY AWAY FROM BAD FOOD!

2.Get a stop watch and do each of these exercises for 45 seconds once a day- crunch, right oblique crunch, left oblique crunch, reverse crunch, toe touches, legups, right situp, left situps

3. and for the secret weapon-
sprint a full 20 seconds
rest for 10
sprint a full 20 seconds
rest for 10
sprint a full 20 seconds
rest for 10

what this is is kicks your metabolism into gear, this eats away at low and high body fat % areas. this burns way more calories and fat than joging for 2hours. this is really effective.

Kevin Kostner was on last night and showed his abs He said he worked out five hours a day for a year to get that for the movie, Do you have that much time or motivation. Remember models and actors don't have to hold down an 9 hour job.
I worked hard all my life have a rock hard gut, but there is this smooth layer of smooth skin with hfu on it, no abs, Life sucks.

Don't do sit-ups, do crunches... for lower abs, you'll also want to bend your knees and lift them toward your head with each crunch. Get your elbows touching your knees...

As for losing the gut... that's fat, crunches aren't going to get rid of that. You'll have to diet... crunches will build abs and stop your skin from flabbing up when you're losing the gut.
