I don't really think much because thinking for me involves feeling, and most of the time my thoughts are of the past. Sad depressing things I just can't seem to let go of, when I'm in a depressed state i like to be alone i get lost in my thoughts and can't seem to snap out of it, i cry alot and eventually begin to feel better. Nothing can really help me when I'm depressed except time.

If i have depression, generalized anxiety disorder, or social anxiety disorder, I may have times when it's difficult to be involved with friends and family the way it used to be. Even when Iam staying on track with treatment, there may be times when I may not feel up to having conversations or carrying out your various daily responsibilities. But I can help myself by being as open as possible with those you love.
I can do a lot to help others understand what you're going through. By helping them understand what you're experiencing, you'll be able to pave the way for better communication. Even people close to you who love you dearly may not know enough to be able to give you the support you need. They may want to reach out to you, but they may not know how.
To involve yourself again with family and friends, you often have to take the first step. Select times of the day or week when you're at your best.

I go for a walk, it helps a lot. About 30 minutes does it. Or I'll sit and watch a sad movie and force myself to cry. Or, and I like this one a lot, I give blood because then I feel useful, that my being alive helps someone else.

Walk out side, take your dog for a pet, listen to music, sleep or see a doctor for pills for depression.

Get off the couch and do something, anything. Preferably something constructive. Even doing something as simple as vacuuming the living room makes me feel better.

sleep, have sex, listen to loud, angry music, eat, try not to cut, journal, play solitaire or something equally mindless, draw, end up in the hospital occasionnally (only once).
Are you just curious or looking for helpful ideas? I basically try to distract myself until my meds start working again.
