Olive oil will clog your pores; it will give a temporary effect of 'smoothness", but on the next day your skin will feel even worse because it won't be able to breath by being sealed with oil. Salt is not a good idea either (unless it is a dead sea salt) because it will dehydrate your skin. Better use a brown raw sugar alone, without mixing it with anything. Apply a moisturizer at the end.

Salt has the effect of what is called osmosis- absorption of water from the cells walls on which it comes into contact with, with a little water or moisture; however, sugar does not have this effect. I would say salt because of this simple chemical reaction. Salt and olive oil would probably cause you to feel like your skin is tightening up a bit as the salt draws moisture from inside your cells to outside your body; whereas, sugar would probably do nothing unless you are diabetic and your cells absorbed the sugar into your system.
