Biodiesel is a fuel make from fats usually vegetable oils. To make biodiesel you must take the vegetable fat (such as soy bean oil, palm oil, peanut oil or sunflower seed oil) and introduce a catalyst to convert the fats in the oil into esters through a process called transesterfication. Currently the most common catalyst is lye but some people use sulfuric acid. Biodiesel can be used in any diesel vehicle without engine modification.
Biodiesel uses a number of different feedstock. The most common right now is soybean but it is one of the worst feedstock you can use. The best feedstock you can use is palm oil which per acre produces the most oil to make biodiesel. Another common feedstock, especially for the home brewer, is waste vegetable oil (WVO). WVO is oil that comes from fast-food joins like McDonalds or Burger King used to cook their friesin. The cool thing about WVO is that when you burn it it smells like french fries.
There is also something called Straight Vegetable Oil or SVO. SVO is basically just the cooking oil you use to fry chicken in. You have to modify your diesel motor but if you do you can go and buy a bottle of vegetable oil and pour it right in your tank and use it as fuel.
A little factoid: When Rudolf Diesel designed his now famous motor he designed it to run off of straight peanut oil. All diesel cars can burn biodiesel or if slightly modified can burn straight vegetable oil.

Bio-Diesel uses biological components of oil and fat. It will also reduce the use of fossil fuel or serves as a substitution. It will not pollute the environment.

Yes. It's what McDonalds uses to fry french frys with except when gas stations sell it, you don't get frys with that. One gallon costs about as much as a double quarter pounder super sized meal.

It is a substance made from vegetable oils or animal fats that has been heated to seperate the glycerin and the rest is converted to esters. It is then mixed with ethanol to make the biodiesel.

Esterize the fatty acids in vegetable oil, rendered fat, or other sources.
It cleans motor parts as it runs, but destroys pre 1980's rubber hoses and seals.
