I have come across details of past-births and reincarnations for other characters of Mahabharata, but none for Dharmaraja. Can anyone help me on this?

Well there are many un-authorised commentries and imagintive stories on the great souls but none of them are verified from scriptures.
Whoever performed pasttime with Lord Krishna, as frnd or lover, parent, teacher etc had no previous or later incarnations.
To understand this u need to really/deeply understand Krishna Tattva.

No I really don't think so because there is no such thing .Every religion has foolish carry overs from more primitive times that they just couldn't bear to part with so they continue to cling to
unreasonable notions of superstitious origin with no scientific or real evidence to support it . If religions were a little more honest they would clean house and probably loose fewer devoties in the process oh well no great loss at least maybe those that move on will find an honest and better life in the truth .

Lord Yama was cursed by a sage that his shakthi (powers) will be gone. they will take birth humans and then reach him.
this was because Yama had given a very high punishment for a unknowingly done mistake of the sage.
his shakthis were only born as Vidhura and Yudhistira, the only law abiding characteres in the whole Story.

Yudhishtira is the re-incarnation of God Yama, the Lord of Death.
If fact, Yamaraj was testing Yudhishtira when the Pandavas were , one by one, swallowed in the mythological lake---"Yaksa prashnas"--- and were asked questions that only Dharmaputra , the righteous son of Dharmaraj ,could answer.
'Dharmaraj' or Yama is called so because He is absolutely fair and unflinchingly takes ALL of us some day---whether we are male, female, rich, poor, ugly, haughty, naughty, or clean!

Krishna knows the past of everyone and he mentioned that he remembers being with Arjuna before. Other sources are not as reliable.
