Guy pays for dinner. Girl goes home with guy and has sex.

Pretty straightforward prostitution if you ask me.

The only difference is that the prostitutes are open and honest enough about themselves to accept direct payment while other women are in denial and make men play the ridiculous dating/marriage games. He still ends up paying, probably a lot more.

I guess the law was originally written by men who couldn't handle the fact that the women they marry were really no different to the ones on the street. Each exchanges monetary value for sex. So they created a legal distinction between the two modes of exchange, direct or indirect.

Well Johnny, you'd probably get an argument from the girl. You've heard the one about the guy who asks if the girl will have sex for a million dollars. She says "yes" and he asks if she'll do it for $2. She says "No, what do you think I am?" His response, "we've already determined what you are, we're only negotiating the price." Well, it's true if you define as a prostitute one who has sex for money (either gender, incidentally). But if the definition is limited to one who makes a living having sex for money, that's a bit different. Personally, this is one of those victimless crimes as far as I'm concerned. Should be permissible in the USA...as it is in many other countries.

No johnny you are thinking of divorce not dating. Dating is cheap try marriage. They should arrest the girls as they are the ones that pays the most. Most girls get their hair done, their fingers, they get new cloths. They get waxed. Have you see how much their sexy under wear cost. With your attitude have you ever got to first base. And you think you pay too much. You are cheap you should use a prostitute not a real date. The real pleasure of a real women is price less..

Young man, young man, young man... tsk tsk.

A woman who has OPTED to have sex with you after a night out on the town, wants to be intimate with you...obviously. Even in the most distant sense it is an emotional and physical need you are both fulfilling for one another, if just for that one night.

A ho, is giving you your 15 minutes so that she can either pay the rent or pay her pimp. It's a survival thang and a business transaction.

The two are completely seperate. Nothing agains ho's but it's just not the same.

That's a mutual one night stand, not prostitution. Sometimes the woman pays her half and still has a ONS. Go figure.

its not being sold on the street. Prostitutes dont go to dinner. If it is a relationship then, give it some respect.

that is completely differant. Your going out on a date with some one you want to get to know better if sex winds up being involved it is a mutual attraction. Going out and paying someone whom you know is a hooker, prostitute than you are paying for the act.

c'mon jonny...you know why it ain't so.

There's no cash exchanging hands. Prostitution is a business agreement...a quid pro quo. Agreed upon sex act for a given price.

Having someone foot the bill for chow and givin' 'im some ain't the same thing!

That's an indirect payment. With a date, the money is given to a restaurant proprietor. It is then the female's discretionary decision to have sex with the male.

With prostitution the male gives the female money and she gives him sex in exchange. That's the kicker. The sex is for straight cash and not a meal.

Plus, prostitutes are often more expensive. I can get my girlfriend a $20 pizza and receive sex for it. Hookers often cost a couple hundred.

Break it down...
Go to see a prostitute...expect sex...pay for sex...get sex.

Go on a date...pay for dinner (the restaurant gets the cash)...expect sex...may get sex...may not get sex...in a date nothing is guaranteed.
