my 10 month old puppy (eats like a goat!) ate some dry rib bones while i turned my back (she's a little food theif thanks to my mother in-law)
its highly likely she swallowed them whole and they are about 1inch x 1/2 inch and fairly smooth. she is a large dog (70lbs)
she seems to be ok so far, and hasnt been vomiting.
my concern is will there be any damage to her digestive system? will they dissolve or will she pass them or will they splinter and cause damage?
going to the vet is so expensive!

since i am not like the others here who scream "go to the vet" everytime they answer any question, i will say she is fine at this point, their stomachs can digest the bones easily, they might get runny poop if they arent used to bones in their diet. (non-domesticated canines {foxes, wolves, coyotes, etc} do this all the time) i would like to suggest that you watch your pup carefully and keep food up higher, out of her reach.
Also, if the bones are swallowed whole they couldnt splinter in the stomach since they just kinda soak in digestive fluids, there isnt another mouth in the stomach chewing up the food.

Take her to the vet anyway. If you care for your pet she is worth it.
Just thinking that everything is fine is a false sense of security. The bones can damage or lacerate her digestive system and internal organs. Just because she isn't vomiting doesn't mean there is a problem. She can also get an obstructed bowel from this also.
