Unless you're going to pierce your ears, I would strongly suggest sucking it up and paying a professional.
They are there for a reason,... Because there are serious RISKS involved in at-home piercings.

Yeah I have 15 piercings 5 closed and the rest opened I have 4 in each ear 7 I did my self and yes they are all still opened My sister pierced my nose and I had no problems with it and If i would have left the jewelry in it would have been fine but I wanted a job that didn't allow facial piercings so I took it out and I did my belly button but I let it close It got infected probably because I had no idea what the hell I was doing and was allergic to the metal I was using I was young and wanted to be cool but now I go get all mine done professionally especially since they are in areas where I have no idea where the needle is supposed to go

Just the right ear; left was already 2x pierced by a friendly piercing housemate. I know that doesn't seem like much, but it was a while ago and a guy having a pierced ear at all was unusual. I used her equipment with permission & cleaned it when done. It hurt as much as the others, but not too bad. Hole is still there, but I admit nowadays I'm pretty lazy & don't adorn that ear as often.

I've pierced my ears a few times. First time I uses a safety pin. Made sure it was sterile and numb(ice). Didn't have any problems with those piercings. Second time I used one of those store-bought piercing guns. Worked great. Didn't have any infections. However, I'm allergic to fake jewelry, so after I switched to real silver my little irritation went away.

I will agree it isn't exactly a smart idea, but I've let my best friend pierce my nose twice, both times it hurt just a little, and only because the skin is so thick..
I've pierced her ears on the bottom, an cartilage, and I've pierced both my younger sister's ears..
If your going to pierce cartilage, be careful, and just make a dot where it looks right for your nose, if your thinking about that, but NEVER attempt piercing your tongue, my best friend took me to the place she got her's done, by a professional, and it did not hurt at all..
Good Luck, and be careful!..

Self piercing = badbadbad.
I don't self pierce, nor do I recommend it.
You don't know half of the things that could go wrong.
My suggestion, is don't bother trying to look "cute" for your first day of junior high, wait till you're 18, and get whatever you want done professionally. You'll regret it if you get an infection or something of the sort. Always better safe than sorry.

My friend and I tried to pierce our noses, and I can honestly tell you it's the single stupidist thing I've done. It hurt like hell, bled a lot and almost left a nasty scar.
Don't do any piercings yourself, it never comes out right

Nipple, belly button, and nose. Nipple worked out good but only because I got lucky and it didn't get infected. My belly button got very infected and I had to take it out, and my nose was fine. I wouldn't recommend it at all I went to get my belly button re-pierced a few weeks ago and it is defiantly a much better experience going to the shop.

first of all, getting it done by a profesinal is the best way to go. but if you dont have the money than go to icings. ya i know that sounds wierd but its free piercings and it only costs about $15 for the earings and the cleaning solutions. but if you do want to do it by yourself then make sure you use a sterile needle and ice. and make sure that you put the earings right after you punksure them that way they wont immediantly close. oh ya and it really doesnt hurt.
GOOD LUCK!!!
