I will have to hold on to something when this happens. It lasts around 35 seconds. My vision getts spotted then blurs completely black. I am not overweight, and eat and drink regularly. Any information is greatly appreaciated.

Cervical Spondilitis
Vertigo
Low Blood Pressure

it is called orthostatic hypertension. it is caused by a change in blood pressure as your circulatory system adjusts to the change in position. It is common but if should not be sever enough to cause to to pass out or affect your vision. if this happens frequently you need to have this checked you may be hypertensive. also sitting with your legs crossed will cause this to happen more frequently because it restricts blood circulation to your lower extremity's. when you stand there is an increase in circulatory demand and your blood pressure will drop.

ahhh the infamous, dizzy when you stand up too fast trick!

If it happens frequently like you mention though--you should get it checked out as it could just be low blood sugar. My friend has that, and she has to eat a little extra white bread or a small piece of fruit or things like that now & then when it hits her. Nothing serious.

i know totaly what it is!

while you are moving you are subconciously stopping the flow of oxygen to the brair

it sounds so horrible when i say it like that but all you have to do is simply take conscious deep breathes before-during-after standing
