I thought that maybe she was lonely so I got her another cat to play with. She is still doing it. I dont think that she is in heat because she doesnt show anymore signs of being in heat. What else could it possibly be?

Does she seem to be in pain or distress or is she just talking? Some cats just plain talk a lot like some people. That could be it. Too bad we don't speak cat we might learn a lot. We had one kitty who talked constantly and expected us to listen and hop to it to do what we said. That didn't always happen of course but she kept at it. Your cat could also be getting close to being in heat so do consider having her spayed unless you want more talk and more problems and possibly kittens. If she has not had her kitty shots or a check up at the vet that would be a good thing to do for her anyway and you can ask about the meowing while you are there. If there is a problem you could find it out and help her and if there isn't you would know she is OK and be relieved. Chances are she's just a talker but it's good to be sure.

Some cat breeds just "talk" more than others. Siamese cats are very vocal, and talk all the time. Persians rarely meow and usually attach themselves to only one person in a family. I think you should take it to the Vet for a quick check up, just to make sure everything is allright. Because animals can't tell us if they are sick, they act differently to get us to notice them. Find out exactly what breed your cat is and then read about it on the Net or go buy a book about cat behavour.

It does sound she may be in heat. They will act funny...very vocal, rubbing themselves on you,(more than normal)and want very badly to go outside. They begin getting into heat for the first time around 6 months. If she was acting like this before she went out, she may have been in heat and is pregnant. If this happened after she went out, she may not be pregnant, but is in heat and wants out, especialy at night. If you suspect she is pregnant, take her to the vet for an exam and confirmation. I strongly suggest that you get her spade ASAP to avoid unwanted kittens and health problems in the future.

Ours bypass loopy at about 5:30 am because they opt for nutrition. Do you feed them contained in the morning or evening? If that is contained in the morning, that is probable that they know this and he's merely hungry!

The other cat should of done the trick. Try calling your vet and asking them about it. It might be a physiological problem.

My cat is doing the same thing. But she is spayed, so that is not her problem. Do you give her attention? My cat is meowing more when she cannot see me.

My cat is 5 years and he is still the biggest whiny b*tch cat (as my husband likes to call him) in the world.

He howls all night long, every night.

PS- He is neutered, so it ain't him wantin' some.
