...Wow....
1) Firstly, STOP PIRATING SOFTWARE. Buy your stuff like everybody else, criminal.
2) LimeWire Pro is the worst waste of money EVER. If you really have to pirate your stuff, why buy the P2P software? You're better off spending the money on the actual stuff you want, legally. Or, use a proper free P2P software, not the malware-infested LimeWire.
3) The number of sources available for a download has little to do with the P2P software. Most P2P software use the same P2P networks (BitTorrent, Gnutella, eDonkey), only providing new interfaces for them. There's no such thing as a P2P software that will magically create new sources for you to download from.
4)...You want to pirate McAfee and Norton Anti-Virus? These AV applications are bad enough, let alone downloading illegal malware-infested versions. And of course, you're not going to get virus signature updates, so they won't work anyway. Why not try a free AV, like Avast! or AVG?
5) You want to pirate Windows ME too? Most people wouldn't use ME if you paid them a million dollars. It's slow, old, unreliable, unstable, and insecure. Even Microsoft themselves acknowledge how bad it was. Whoever told you Win ME is good for virus problems is a genius - there's no viruses on it, because no one uses it and it's not a target, and it won't have the chance to catch/execute any viruses because it keeps crashing.
6) Tired of viruses in Windows XP? News flash - XP isn't the problem, YOU ARE! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're visiting malware-infested websites, to get a link in your malware-infested BS LimeWire P2P software, so you can download illegal malware-infested software. And you're doing it all without a working anti-virus, anti-spyware or other anti-malware tool.
Get the above problems sorted out first. Then come back, and maybe someone will help you.

1st of all to go from Windows XP to Me is ridiculous, Windows ME is the worst OS ever built and has more bugs than anything, you might as well install Vista....Second why steal a program like Mcafee or Norton they are resource hogs and often conflict with other software...they are succesful from making deals with computer manufactures but the software is horrible, using p2p programs you risk a virus regardless of your os. Want some free AV software get AVG it is free and fairly good. Next understand spyware is the number one threat on the internet and often confused with a virus, you need antispyware software, for free get spybot s&d but for a good paid AS program get Webroot Spy Sweeper

Personally I use utorrent. Fairly easy to set up. Most of the time all you have to do is choose your internet connection speed and possibly open a port on your firewall and/or your router. You can also check if your port is forwarded correctly in the program.
There are good antivirus-programs and firewalls out there that are free for home users
Try Avast antivirus and Zone-alarm firewall.
