I don't know much about weight lifting so what are some tips? When you tell about the exercise can you use simple words like calves, thighs, butt, etc. I'm not really that great with the other names. Is there a website that could show me the motions? (free) thanks a lot. also protein pills and stuff is that safe?

I been there done that kind of stuff for me. I used tobe skinny to, but went to body building and became champion. People have different body types, there's the mesomorph the natural born muscular type. The ectomorhp this is your type by the way how you describe your wt compare to your height. The last type is the endomorph w/c is a little chubby naturally.

Anyway I you can start doing is hit the gym, start slowly with the weights. Just for now focus on the large muscle groups such as chest, thighs and backs. Start your with 3-4 sets on each and 8-10 reps. Just use half of your max weight right now. Your max weight lift is 1 rep you can do for full range of motion and control.

Start on that basic exercise right now just do it for maybe 4-6 weeks, then gradually add some small body parts. Don't do too longer of time doing your exercise routine so that you don't get burn out.

You need to feed your muscles plenty of protein when you want it to grow. Protein powder is a good source of predigested protein. Any kind as long as there's not allot of sugar on the total calories. Egg white is very good source of protein too, eat about 8-10 a day spread through out the day. Chicken breast, fish, lean beef, all very good source of your daily protein, for your muscle building regimen. Just go to basic for protein.

Hi there,

You may want to try to join a local gym easily accessible to either your home, work or school. The reason for this is that as with other form of training, building muscle require dedication and constant training. By joining one that is near to you, it will save you the drag from travelling and help prevent you from skipping practice because of tiredness.

The simplest concept of building muscle is to do exercise for both the upper body and the lower body. You will find variety of equipments in the gym to help you do that. It is best that you look up some help from the gym trainer if they have one to show you how to do it properly. If not, you can always consult some fitness websites/books/videos to help you get started. You can also ask people around in the gym for help.

One thing to remember though is to never forget to warm up and cool down before and after your exercise period. Also, always have a bottle of water handy.

As for those protein pills, I would like to discourage you from using them. There are other ways to get protein that are much healthier than pills. As to how much protein you should consume, it is best to ask a pro like fitness instructor or gym trainer. Good luck!

Go to a gym and discuss with the trainer there. Anerobic exericises like weight lifting will tone your body and will build your muscle. Once your muscle mass starts increasing, your body starts burning more fat since muscle burns more calories than fat for the same mass/weight.

Proteins (eggs, meat, chicken, soya, mik or milk products etc.) will help you build muscles
