Have you talked to your doctor about the hair loss? It could be reaction to a mediation(the shot did it to me) or thyroid problem.

The only way is to wash ur hair atleast thrice a week with a good suitable shampoo.Try some popular products and pick the one suits ur hair or choose a shampoo based on ur hair type.Don't forget to use a good conditioner. After shampooing juz apply conditioner to the length of ur hair.Dont apply it on ur scalp,it may cause clogging of pores or dandruff.Apply oil once a week if u hav only scalp n hair otherwise twice or thrice. Also follow good diet with enough proteins. If problem persists or is severe inspite of improving ur hair care routine and diet then u should definitely consult a doctor.

Hair loss treatment needs to be targeted at 2 specific areas. Those remedies that you apply to the hair and scalp and those that you take internally such as herbs and nutrients.
As far as external washes and as an alternative to conventional shampoos are concerned check out the Nisim System
http://snipurl.com/nisimsystem
This is a complete system of hair care and is clinically proven to re-grow hair and keep the hair you have as healthy and strong as possible.
If you are considering taking some natural supplements then take a look at Provillus http://snipurl.com/hairsolutions_com
Provillus is universally regarded as the best vitamin and mineral and herbal supplement to help re-grow your hair and keep it healthy.
Lastly you should consider giving yourself a scalp massage every day for at least 5 minutes.
