You may have a neurological or nerve problem-- it could even stem from your neck.

Have a doctor check you out.

Could be due to the way you are sleeping - you are positioned in such a way so as to cut off circulation. This happens to me and I hate it! It is such an awful feeling to have a numb arm...I usually toss it over the side of the bed and can feel the blood run back through it. Knowing that when my arm goes that numb it could be chopped off with an axe and I wouldn't feel it really creeps me out!

It could be you have fallen asleep on top of them but it is more likely that you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. Read about it and buy some hand splints in a pharmacy that you can sleep in. they are called c-o-c-k up splints. They keep your hand and wrist in a neutral position and if the problem is carpal tunnel, they will usually help. If not you could explore other possibilities such as nerve impingement, which might be helped by chiropractic treatments or massage.

You are keeping both your arms raised up while sleeping. This is what is causing the nerve's electric supply blocked.Remember the" hands up" command of the police man. This makes your arms weak temporarily. Use a pillow and prevent your arms from going beahind your head.

You are cutting of circulation to your ams in your sleep. First make sure the pillow you sleep on is not to high. Then go to the doctor to make sure you don't have a pinched nerve or something that causing it.

You're either sleeping on your stomach with your arms underneath you therefore they would "fall asleep" or you have poor circulation which I would get checked out by your doctor as it could lead to heart attack or stroke if it's a bloodclot of sorts.

Sounds like poor circulation. You might really need to seek medical attention. Not right this minute unless this is a new thing that just started, but as soon as you can.

This may sound stupid but do you sleep with your hands under your pillow or behind your head. If you keep your hands back over your head, it is really easy to cut your circulation

It may be a cervical disc problem. You should probably see your doctor. X-rays *may* show something, but more than likely you'll need an MRI to diagnose properly.
