Why would anyone want to be rude? Unfortunately we all suffer from some form more or less of lazyness so you are not at all alone ----- realizing that you could be better is a step in the right direction "the holy grail" so to speak How can one achieve more ?----make rules to motivate yourself---e.g. not so much watching of TV---less time on the computer--- be into exercise more---every little improvement helps but it is a continual struggle easier to sit back and do very little( watch TV ,play on computer) but life can slip by without any achievements so get up and get involved you may have to force yourself and reward yourself for improvements ;you are the judge ,be kind ,Rome was not built in a day.......

Depression is a serious medical problem that should be addressed by your doctor. If you are simply "in a rut" and feeling a lack of energy there can be a number of causes. The most common this time of year is Seasonal Defective Disorder. Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily preferably outside with some sun exposure. Also try taking B-6 & B-100 multivitamins. It will turn your urine a very bright yellow but if you take them in the morning after breakfast you should see incresed energy throughout the rest of the day. (Don't take them at night as it may cause sleep disturbances)

I just want to say that "if you are depressed, then you're not lazy," is not a true statement (at least not 100% of the time - duh). I am depressed, and I am lazy. I am so depressed that I do not want to function. For instance, I have not left the house for 3 days, but on top of that - I have not showered or changed my clothes. That is straight up lazy (as well as depressed). Even with not wanting to function, if I do force myself to do something and not be so lazy, I end up feeling better. You might actually enjoy what you went out and did - especially if it involves other people.
For advice on how to live your life,. I suggest you play The Sims. This teaches you how to maintain a job, relationships, and happiness. If you get really good at the game, your character becomes really happy. Mimic their life. :)

Alot of times, being lazy could be other things than depression. Maybe your not sleeping enough, maybe your sleeping too much, unhealthy diet, not eating enough, restless sleep. It could be linked to alot of things. Try thinking about your life on a daily basis, and try to add time for you. Make sure you are getting a good dose of excercise (even jogging around your neighboorhood for a half hour every other day is great), and make sure you are getting enough protein and iron from what you are eating (eat more beans/nuts and red meat). Try to avoid sugar snacks and caffine energy drinks to keep you awake. A warm shower is also amazing.
It could also be seasonal depression, which alot of people suffer from. If you live in an area with a winter period, you could have it. Its not too serious unless it intervens with your life.
I would say try to do alot of the things i mentioned (it helps me out so much), but also go to your doctor and talk to him/her about this. Even if it is a matter of not sleeping enough, you want to make sure you are doing the right things to get you outta this slump, and not driving yourself deeper.
Goodluck

If you are depressed then you are not lazy, if you are lazy that is a character flaw. Sounds like you may need some counseling. Get help.

You could just be lazy. Not every personality flaw is a mental illness.
