ive been single for awhile and not much into the bar scene or drinking. How can I find someone without going to a bar or night club.

hello, its nice to know i'm not the only one out there with this problem. with same man for 14 yrs not anymore this dating thing is hard everything is different now days. the bar is the general rule i guess some sort of tradition. i joined a local gym club and started to go to more of my kids sports activities and meet new freinds that way. i don't much like the bar scene either. on-line clubs have become popular also with others. you really won't know unless you get out there and check things out for youself like clubs to join. ex: hobbies and gyms or local church if that appeals to you. good luck we need it

Try! MYSPACE, it's easy to get yourself all set up in there to start your fun! Other ways would be to hang out with some friend's, and go to the movies, and or walks where there are lots of people trying to have a good night out without the alcohol. Just be spontaneous with your life, love will find you! Take it easy, don't want to rush into anything yet, have fun and be safe.

I was 38 and had 5 kids still at home when thier dad left. I attended some Beginning Experience Retreats for separated, widowed and divorced persons. Then I prayed for a husband. I married my UPS delivery man. God works in mysterious ways.

If you find something let me know, because I am in the same boat and have hung out at the coffee shops and book stores, taken classes, etc.
I can even meet people to chat with a second time, let alone date. And I am so over the internet dating thing. Yikes!

First of all I don't know what your faith is but a little prayer never hurt anybody. Pray about it, keep an open mind, be your self all the time, frequent social activities with your girlfriends, have fun and don't be desperate or otherwise act like it because guys will only use you or run from you...Hope this helps

Take an evening class in something you are interested in. That way you know the people there are interested in the same thing, and they may be there for the same reason
Its how i met my Wife.

join a health club, poetry reading, hang at starbucks, get out jog, people are all over.......
