set several alarms, the one by your bedside and 1 or 2 more away from your bed so you will have to get out of bed to turn them off.

Sorry to write this, but while you want to help your mom at the conscious level, at the subconscious level, you don't and that is why you ened up getting late. And then you will tell your mom, how sorry you are and she will probably say how it is OK.
Set an alarm and ask your mom to wake you by thowing some cold water over your face if needed. A few days like that and you will sleep early enough. And if you really need help in sleeping or in your thoughts etc., there are many healing techniques which help.

Before you go to sleep tell yourself you will sleep for a particular number of hours, also set an alarm to wake you. When you wake up don't let yourself fall asleep again, if you can't get up right away do something to keep yourself awake, read a funny book, turn on the TV.

Don't listen to miss JEN above me. When I was in college, it didn't take long to find out that psychology majors are only f@#$%* up people who can't handle their own emotional problems. That's why they major in psychology, to figure out what the hell is wrong with them. LOSERS!!! Anyone who has as many "majors as that or degrees" has too much time on their hands. I promise you half her clients jump out their windows from her negative, blabbing, deranged thinking. You need to see a holistic doctor or a regular doctor to see what you can do about your insomnia, I don't feel your lazy, just a late sleeper and thus, a late riser. Ask to try ambien, or try a natural approach, check out Prescription for Nutritional healing by Phyliis A. Balch, CNC and James F. Balch, M.D. They state every possible alternative for your condition and various other aliments. To bad they didn't have one for WEIRDO lady above me.. Good luck my friend...
