Throughout the centuries, the Jews have made convenient scapegoats. Bubonic plague going around? Must be the Jews poisoning the wells. The Tsar wants to divert attention from peasant misery in Russia? Let's have a few pogroms. Depression in Germany? The Jews have destroyed the economy. And so on and so on.
You'd think by now though that we'd be a little smarter than our medieval forebears.

As long as the Israelis survive it is proof that God exists. If people can get rid of them, which is impossible to do, then they can say God does not exist.

Some so-called Christians think that when Paul went to the gentiles it was a sign that He no longer wanted the Jews.

Some believe we, Americans are the 10 lost tribes: Totally false but you know the ego of some people.

They can't stand the thought of little Israel being God's favorite or chosen

Man, by nature, likes to be indulgent, lethargic, selfish, self-centered, egoistical, and many other things which flow from these bad characteristics.
The Jews are , as a race, very hard-working, economical(sometimes known as stingy!) God-contered, brainy, and thus appear to be a threat to the rest of humanity.
So, is it not natural that people will speak evil , speak ill, and try to eliminate those who appear to threaten them?
That is the reason!

"Jews are God's chosen people." Sounds like you just answered your own question. As for other Christians speaking evil of them, yeah I've noticed a growing number of Christians being intolerant and abandoning the "What Would Jesus Do?" philosophy. It's sad, and I shall pray for them.

Jews were diverse than maximum people. Jews were blamed via many for killing Jesus (+ different conspiracy theories). Jews were usually extra useful, for countless motives, so as a minority they became a scapegoat. etc.

Not all 'Christians' are true Christians. And anyone under Satan's thumb is going to try to do his will, which is ... to kill God's People, the Jew. They made Jesus and His Mission possible. The devil isn't about to forgive them for THAT!

Much of it stems from the rabid anti-semitism sowed by the Catholic Church over the centuries as well as a Jew-hating tract published by Martin Luther. Then, of course, the Muslims have a land dispute.
