I live in Oregon and I take Pre-Calc

Taking Calc in high school has always been considered 'ahead of the norm', so you fit in that category.

As to what is 'normal', in Oregon the 'normal' varies by school district. For example, in Coos Bay, they no longer offer any algebra at the junior high level, so the earliest anyone could take it is 9th grade. They consider that 'normal' and it meets the 10th grade CIM requirements for math competency.

If you can take Calc next year, do so. When I did in high school, because it was public school they paid for my textbook and I didn't have to pay the college tuition. That one class alone saved me close to $200.

I also took Pre-Calc as a junior. I think the average is Advanced Algebra-Trig, which you probably took as a sophomore or freshman.
