I don't usually do this. But I found a really wonderful breeder recently online. http://www.puppyfind.com was the site I used. The site also has wonderful tips on how to choose your new baby. Remember to always ask for updated pictures. For instance, tell the breeder that you would like a picture of the puppy next to a pop can. If the breeder is unwilling or says his/her camera is broke... FIND ANOTHER BREEDER. Remember, as the buyer you have choices. There really are too many breeders out there and it's up to you to be smart about finding a good breeder.

Word of advice: I would never buy a live animal for anyone as a gift. That is how entirely too many pets end up in shelters. Maybe since it is for a "crush" how about a Maltese stuffed animal. If your crush turns into more than it currently is a puppy might be a good choice. But remember, a puppy is just like having a new baby. Does your crush have the resourse necessary to take care of a puppy for 10+ years.

Not trying to scold or anything, just trying to remind you that buying a puppy is a huge decision.

Best of Luck

If you buy a puppy online make sure you can go out to the breeders place to pick it up and see the parents. If you have them deliver the pup it'll cost a whole lot more and you'll never know what the parents looked like and what kind of conditions the pup lived in. Maltese are suppose to be really small when grown so you really need to see the parents, some bad breeders claim a dog is one breed yet the sucker gets huge, i'm sure if you speand the money you want a nice looking dog, it may be easier to buy out of the paper and pick up the dog. Make sure you can see it's living conditions, because filty and shady places often time have problems with parvo which is a horrid disease that takes 10 days to show up and normally kills the pups
but petfinder is a good site.

Well, its an expensive gift for a crush. But members of the Maltese Association will not scam you, you can trust that you will get the puppy and that it should have good breeding. Of course you must remember it is alive and people do not like the idea of selling dogs as gifts so she may need to speak with these breeders also.

I would never buy a puppy online for the sake of the poor dog. Wouldn't you be scared if you were a puppy and someone shipped you off to another state. I wanted to buy a puppy online as well and I thought about the poor dog:(. Look in your news paper, that's where mom and daddy got me my chihuahua Roxy. Think about the dog's feelings. P.S- Maltese puppies range from about $900-3000 dollars (if it matter) Only buy her a puppy if you know that she will take care of the dog. There are too many irresponsible pet owners in this world.

I don't have any pup for sale now, but I will be having a litter in
april. When you buy a maltese, make sure you check the pads
on the paws to make sure they are black. Some might still
be pink, but some people try to sell mixed breeds as maltese.
Don't buy from a pet store as a last result. I know two great
breeders, who I could get a pup from now, but I don't know where
you live. Shipping dogs isn't something I would suggest.
Look in your own area and I am sure you will find something.
They are great pets.

I don't think it's the best idea to buy a puppy online. Have you ever heard of puppy mills and back yard breeders? Some people are only breeding puppies for money and don't care about them at all. You need to see the puppy in person, along with its parents, and the conditions it is living in. You need to see the puppy's personality and its parents. You also need to make sure genetic testing has been done on the parents to avoid health problems (and lots of vet bills) later on. PLEASE don't buy a puppy online!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7h6

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I would recommend a Maltese rescue organization.

Here is a listing of such rescue organizations:

http://www.malteserescue.com/realmaltese.htm

This website gives a listing of breeders by state and other info on this breed:

NEVER buy puppies online.
Scams and sick puppies are more likely than getting a good pup.
Contact a breeder or rescue group in your area.
