I've done some research on the year 2012 & like tons of people are convinced that the world will either end or change during that year. Alien contact, Earth's magnetic field reversing, the end of the world, ect. is all predicted to happen then.
I really don't believe any of it, but it kinda freaks me out that people are sooo obsessed w/ the year 2012. I mean what is so significant about it; other than its a leap year? I mean what the hell do a bunch of Mayans who built stuff & brutally dismembered each other know?
What is your opinion on 2012? What will you be up to when "the world ends"? haha.
I'll hopefully be in college working towards a degree in Pharmacy & ignoring all the stupid superstitious people.

Its not just the Mayan that predicted the 2012...but 20 some cultures, organizations, etc all over the globe at all different times without ever talking to each other. How did so many come up with the same answer to something?

Of all the end prophecies i've ever seen the only one to really kinda freak me is the Mayan one. I think it also explains why they mysteriously died out with almost no evidence, they just stopped caring becasue they knew it was fruitless. As for the mayans dismembering each other i think you have them confused with the aztecs.

The Mayan calendar ends in 2012. Think I'll be doing about the same but better in certain areas.
