canyone tell me why men lie to women on their dates about why they are late??? if i was dating someone i would never lie to them about why i'm late i'd tell the truth as i was raised to do all my life... so why do so many people lie to eachother on their dates??? women this question is for your eyes only....

um it would help if i had some specifics here. do you just assume they're lying about why they're late? maybe it's cause she had a personal problem she didn't feel necessary sharing with you so she came up with something else. would you really want your date giving you the whole ordeal of her friends problems? women are often late due to last minute phone calls of their friends calling crying or having some form of 'emergency' and a lot of women know men don't want to hear about it. or would you want your date to say "sorry i really had to take a major **** at the last minute." as you're sitting down to eat dinner? and on the other hand some people (men and women) are just compulsive liars and there's no changing that.

I'm a guy so if you want to, you can stop reading right now. guys probably lie because if he told the truth, then you would ask why and then he would have to go into this weird chain of event kind of thing that would make him look like a. an asshole b. a pervert or c. just a bad person. so he lies to keep the date going the way he wants it to, or to the end that he wants it to, and/or to keep in control.
